Welcome to the
seventh grade. We are excited
about having you on our team and hope that you will find your classes interesting,
challenging, and fun this year.
Your team of teachers has developed some guidelines listed below that
will help you be successful this year.
We wish the best of luck to each and every one of you. Please let us know how we can help you
throughout the year.
Classroom behavior
Students shall
-Respect their
teachers and other students.
-Take pride in
their work.
-Arrive to class
on time. If you are late, please
bring a pass from the teacher that detained you.
-Participate
positively in the classroom.
-Ask questions if
confused or uncertain.
-Take advantage of
extra help sessions; we are available and eager to help.
-Come to class
prepared.
Homework assignments
Homework
-Is meaningful and
supportive of further understanding of material.
-Will be assigned
3 – 5 times a week.
-Comes in many
forms: practice, extension, research, reading, etc.
-Is to be
completed on time and written neatly.
-Counts in
student’s grade.
-Includes a proper
heading with the student’s name, the period, and date.
Tests, quizzes, Projects
-Tests and quizzes
will be given through a unit of study.
-Projects will be
assigned throughout the year accompanied by a timeline and final due date.
Extra help
Your teachers are
happy to help you after school. We urge you to take advantage of extra help
when it is needed. Please note the
following schedule for teachers’ extra help sessions:
